About the project
AI Blood Bridge was inspired by the urgent, recurring needs of thalassemia patients who require regular blood transfusions—and the challenge of matching them with compatible donors in time. Driven by real stories from NGOs like Blood Warriors and national data from e-RaktKosh, we realized that technology could bridge the tragic gap of missed transfusions and last-minute emergencies.
Our solution integrates national blood bank records via secure APIs, leverages AI for donor availability forecasting, and extends 'Blood Bridge' models for personalized, repeat donor-patient matches. Users (patients, donors, NGOs) interact via a secure, easy UI on mobile or web. Key challenges included ensuring robust privacy, integrating with government APIs, and engineering AI models that respect regional context and data sparsity.
With modern encryption, predictive analytics, and a community-first approach, our platform ensures every patient has access to lifesaving donors and support networks.
