Inspiration

We were inspired by the growing problem of improper waste segregation and overflowing garbage bins. We wanted to create a smarter and cleaner waste-management solution using AI.

What it does

Our platform uses AI to identify and segregate waste into categories such as plastic, paper, metal, and organic waste. It also monitors bin levels and supports timely waste collection.

How we built it

We built a user-friendly web platform with an AI-based waste classification system, waste monitoring features, and a dashboard to display waste information and collection status.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenges were designing an easy-to-use interface, integrating AI-based waste classification, and ensuring accurate waste categorization and monitoring.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully developed a working AI-based platform that combines waste classification, monitoring, and smart management in one system.

What we learned

We learned how AI can be applied to real-world environmental problems and gained experience in frontend development, AI integration, and building a complete project as a team.

What's next

We plan to add IoT-enabled smart bins, real-time GPS tracking, improved AI accuracy, automated collection scheduling, and data analytics for smarter waste management.
