AI-Based Student Result Management System
Inspiration
We were inspired by the difficulty teachers and students face in understanding academic performance from large amounts of result data. A simple result management system can store marks, but it does not help identify students who may be struggling.
We wanted to make the system smarter by using AI to analyze academic performance and provide useful predictions and insights.
What We Learned
Through this project, we learned how to:
- Manage student academic data efficiently
- Analyze marks, attendance, and subject-wise performance
- Apply machine learning for performance prediction
- Identify weak subjects and students who may need support
- Build a user-friendly web application
- Connect a frontend, backend, database, and AI model
How We Built It
We developed a web-based student result management system where administrators or teachers can manage student details, marks, attendance, and results.
The collected academic data is processed and provided to an AI/ML model. The model analyzes previous performance and predicts the student's future performance. The system also highlights weak subjects and provides basic recommendations for improvement.
The results are presented through dashboards and charts, making academic information easier for teachers and students to understand.
Challenges We Faced
One of our main challenges was preparing academic data in a format suitable for AI analysis. We also had to determine which factors, such as marks, attendance, and previous performance, were useful for prediction.
Another challenge was integrating the AI model with the web application and presenting predictions in a simple and understandable way.
Outcome
Our project combines student result management with AI-based performance prediction. It helps teachers understand student performance more effectively and identify students who may need additional academic support.
In the future, we plan to improve prediction accuracy using larger datasets and add personalized learning recommendations.
