Inspiration
Finance is a part of everyone's life, but as a beginner, I was overwhelmed by the sheer amount of information out there. I envisioned an AI assistant that not only tracked expenses but also answered even the silliest questions in a simple, educational way.
What I Learned
Finance Fundamentals: I gained insights into personal finance basics and the importance of categorizing expenses. AI & NLP Integration: Building the chatbot taught me how to incorporate AI into practical, user-friendly tools. Project Management: Managing multiple components helped me develop a structured approach to solving complex problems.
How I Built the Project
Expense Tracking: Designed an interface to add expenses and incomes. Automatic Classification: Developed algorithms to automatically classify financial entries into relevant categories. Summary Generation: Created a module to compile concise financial summaries. Chatbot Integration: Embedded an NLP-powered chatbot to handle finance-related queries interactively.
Challenges Faced
The biggest challenge was time management. Due to not completing the project in time, I was unable to submit it. This experience underscored the importance of realistic planning and early prototyping to meet deadlines while delivering a polished project.
