Inspiration
I have just been a bit philosophical this summer, and keep coming back to the core problem of LLM's. People use them as if they can reason, it feels like they can, but they obviously don't. This creates a very weird context, in which people use LLM's for something they are not good at.
What it does
It's a paper meant to make people think more creativity, AI, reasoning and stuff.
How I built it
I just wrote a small essay on the topic, in collaboration with Gemini, couldn't forego the irony of using gemini to collaborate on something I wanted to be creative. The topics were: Creativity, AI, logical/reasoning, the limits of LLM's and why they cant be used for choices.
Challenges I ran into
Well I want to check what i would write if i wrote it fully myself. As you can see the essay with help of AI, argues that an LLM isn't creative and even may limit creativity. I wonder how different the outcome would be if i fully did the experiment myself without the help of AI.
What I learned
That I want to explore this topic further.
What's next for AI and reasoning
I would love to do more research on this topic and how to make an LLM better at being creative, expanding its searchspace, using creative techniques but also adding reasoning aspects and probabilistic reasoning into it, causal inference techniques etc. I want to do hands on programming on this topic actually, using the code of existing LLM's.
