Inspiration

Agriculture is the backbone of our world, yet many farmers still lack access to timely information, expert guidance, and modern tools. We were inspired by the struggles of real farmers, from unpredictable weather and crop diseases to market price uncertainty and limited access to loans or insurance. We wanted to build something that could truly empower them using the power of AI, voice, and real-time data.

What it does

AI Agri is a smart farming assistant app that helps farmers:

Diagnose crop diseases using AI from photos or videos Get fertilizer recommendations based on crop stage, soil, and weather Ask farming questions via a multilingual voice assistant Receive real-time weather alerts and market price predictions Connect directly with dealers to sell produce or buy inputs Access crop insurance and seasonal loans digitally Match with buyers or sellers based on price, crop, and location

How we built it

Flutter for the mobile frontend FastAPI for the backend TensorFlow & OpenCV for crop disease detection Google STT & gTTS for voice input/output OpenWeatherMap API for real-time weather Firebase for authentication and data storage Custom AI agents for crop advice, market insights, and dealer matching Lingo for multilingual support Sentry for debugging and performance monitoring

Challenges we ran into

Making the voice assistant work smoothly in multiple languages Training and optimizing AI models for real-time crop diagnosis Designing a UI that is both modern and farmer-friendly Matching farmers and dealers dynamically based on price and location Ensuring offline-first functionality for low-connectivity areas
