Inspiration
According to the study from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, playing hidden object games can improve cognition. And I love pirates. So, I decided to create a pirate themed hidden objects game.
What it does
Ahoy cove is a game made in figma. It is a treasure hunt game where you need to find the keys for the treasure which is hidden. You need to find four keys to open the treasure. There is a Map for the treasure. You need to cross 4 different places and find the key to open the treasure. The first place is a tree house, you need to find the hidden key inside the tree house. According to the map, the Second place is a graveyard. And the third and fourth are river and snake garden respectively. After finding all four keys you are able to reach the treasure place and open the treasure.
How we built it
I built this using figma
Challenges we ran into
One challenge that I ran into was managing my time while working on this project. There were so many workshops or other fun events going on that I often found myself deciding between working on this project or attending another workshop/event. In addition, deciding the features to include was a challenge. I had so many different ideas, and knew that I wouldnβt be able to implement all of them, and could only choose a few.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Iβm proud of how I was able to create a comprehensive game with decent UI/UX in such a short amount of time. In addition, since this was my first time working on a Figma game project solo, it was really interesting to have full control over every aspect of the app, and Iβm proud of what Iβve created!
What we learned
One big thing I learned is how to better work with Figma. Iβm still pretty new to using it, as itβs only my second time with it, and every time I work with it I learn something new!
What's next for Ahoy Cove
Next, I planned to build a real game in unity with adding more levels.
