Digitalisation of supply chain of agricultural sector of Pakistan
What it does
Our web-based platform recommends the best nearby warehouses to the farmers by taking in the Crop type,Crop quantity, user's location, And critical environmental factors so that crops quality is not compromised be post harvest losses are avoided
How I built it
We researched and found the optimal conditions a crop require and created a machine learning solution which predicts the rating of warehouses given these conditions as per recommendation of Pakistan Cold Chain in association with USAID
Challenges we ran into
No presence of database in any way. No records of farmers, crop data, factors and cold storages
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We have a functional backend which incorporates an AI model and does the calculations now. We have stared development and are in line with farmers to update our system as per need. Hence the foundation is laid. We are to make some tweaks in front end and we can reach out to potential customers
What we learned
We learned that there is a huge business potential if proper supply chain is established
What's next for AgriTechies
This is part one of the long and complex supply chain. We wish to work on pre-harvest technologies as well based on IoT, AI, ML. Moreover we will also incorporate end to end system delivering our valuable product directly to local as well as foreign customers
