About AgriShield nation's economy still depends heavily on agriculture, but farmers still deal with issues like grain spoiling in storage and erratic weather. We developed AgriShield, an Internet of Things-based system that serves as a protective barrier for both outdoor crops and stored grains, in response to these problems. An ESP32 microcontroller coupled with a SIM800L GSM/GPRS module was used in the project's construction to deliver SMS alerts in real time. We connected a number of sensors, such as the YL-83 for rain detection, the MQ135 for gas detection, and the DHT22 for temperature and humidity. We utilized a solar-powered Li-ion battery setup to make it sustainable, and we used ThingSpeak and MQTT to integrate data into an IoT dashboard for visualization One of the biggest lessons was understanding that farmers need simple, user-friendly systems, which is why we prioritized SMS alerts over complex apps. The challenges we faced included ensuring stable GSM connectivity in rural areas, accurate sensor calibration, and managing power for continuous operation.
