AgriSetu – Empowering Farmers with Simple AI
Inspiration
We were inspired by the challenges many farmers face while accessing agricultural information and government services. Language barriers, limited digital literacy, difficulty finding reliable information, and lack of easy access to crop-related guidance can make everyday farming decisions harder.
We wanted to create a solution that makes technology simple and accessible instead of expecting farmers to understand complicated apps or English-based interfaces.
What We Built
AgriSetu is an AI-powered agricultural assistant designed to help farmers access useful farming information in a simple and accessible way.
The platform focuses on:

- 🦠 Crop disease identification and guidance
- 🌐 Multilingual support
- 🏛️ Easier access to agricultural government information and services
- 🤖 AI-powered assistance for farmers
- 📱 A simple interface designed for users with limited digital literacy
Our goal is to create a digital bridge between farmers and the information and services they need.
How We Built It
We designed the project around a simple user journey. A farmer can select a preferred language, enter basic information, and access relevant agricultural assistance through an easy-to-understand interface.
We explored AI-based approaches for providing farming guidance and organizing agricultural information. We also focused on designing the experience around real farmer needs rather than making the application technically complicated.
What We Learned
Through this project, we learned that building technology for real-world users requires more than just adding advanced features. Understanding the user's environment, language, technical comfort, and actual problems is equally important.
We learned about:

Challenges We Faced
One of our biggest challenges was designing an application that remains useful and simple for farmers with different levels of digital literacy.

- Balancing useful AI features with an easy user experience
Future Vision
We want AgriSetu to become a trusted digital companion for farmers by connecting AI, agricultural knowledge, government services, and multilingual accessibility in one place.
Our vision is simple: technology should reach farmers in a language and format they can easily understand and use.
