Project Story – AgriRelief AI

Inspiration We were inspired by the everyday struggles faced by farmers from being unaware of government schemes, falling victim to buyer fraud, and lacking access to timely crop guidance or equipment. Despite the rise of digital solutions, most tools are scattered, non-personalized, or hard to use. We wanted to create a 24x7 conversational assistant that works like a human ally helping farmers not just with information, but with real action, in their natural language and context.

What it does AgriRelief AI is a smart agent system that supports farmers across their full lifecycle: Personalized crop planning and watering guidance Discovery of training programs and workshops Machinery rental support and supplier matching Buyer fraud reporting and helpline access Government scheme lookup and eligibility guidance Crop insurance claim support FAQ support for both beginners and expert farmers All of this runs in natural language, 24x7 so a farmer is never left confused or alone.

How we built it Platform: Salesforce (Agents, Prompt Builder, Data Cloud,LWC and Flow)

Core Components: Agent Actions powered by prompt templates and Data Library Custom flows for fetching contact records and dynamic content

Data Sources: Government schemes and insurance info Supplier and training datasets User intents mapped into topics for coverage

Challenges we ran into Designing prompts and Data Library precision. Ensuring the agent doesn't hallucinate or mislead when real data is missing. Avoiding dead ends when flow outputs returned null due to permission or structure issues.

Accomplishments that we're proud of Built a fully working autonomous agent that understands and assists farmers Covered end-to-end lifecycle use cases: not just info, but fraud, rentals, training, and recovery Successfully integrated Data Library + Flow + Agents fallback in one assistant Created a real impact model that could scale from a small farmer to a national network

What we learned AI for agriculture is most powerful when it’s grounded in local needs. Fallback logic is critical and must design for “I don’t know” paths. Farmers don't need fancy apps they need accessible, always-on, no-jargon support. Combining Data + Flow + Agents in Salesforce makes for a powerful real-world assistant platform

What's next for AgriRelief Integrate live weather + soil API for hyper-personalized crop advice. Onboard local FPOs and agri co-ops for deeper buyer-supplier matching. Partner with government/NGOs for real deployment and scale. Enable WhatsApp alerts for crop, scheme, and insurance updates. Add real-time conversational updates like “Your crop insurance is in the approval stage” to keep farmers always informed and supported.
