Governments around the globe over the years had brought numerous initiatives that more or less impacted the agricultural value chain. Yearning challenges and epidermics has also it's shares in creating downtimes in the sector.

Information and Communications Technology can and will play a key role in changing and impacting agricultural information chain in a dessiminating approach.

AGRIIN will be an interactive and collaboratively built electronic platform where information will be shared through a range of channels in different formats. This will indeed bridge huge gap that exited and accelerated over the years.

It will mostly contain identified group of individuals and contents sharing similar interests, concerns, and educational needs around this subject area (agriculture). A virtual network that is multi-institutional, multi-disciplinary, open, fluid and flexible that will evolve over time as well being responsive to communities of interest.

AGRIIN will seek to convene a collaboration with existing local and international organizations and partnership most concerned with knowledge management and extension to assess feasibility through a business case for an evolving global platform.
