Inspiration
First hand experience of watching farmers(team member's father) not able to compete in the market against Indian and Chinese goods brought in bulk, industries unsure of supply chain and Farmers lack of knowledge about crops cultivation and demand
What it does
It provides a platform for farmers to know about goods in demand from the industry, get contracts from the industries, helps industries get stability in price for their raw materials through pre agreed price from contract farming, stable supply chain for the industries and consultation and knowledge to farmers through expert access, forum and AI chatbot.
How we built it
Programming languages and frameworks used Frontend: React and Material UI component Backend: Node and Express JS Database: MySQL Chatbot: Open AI Gpt 4-o mini API keys
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out the business model,time limitation to apply proper features, mis configuration between dependencies and packages(specially in frontend due to high level of abstraction)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We thought about the problems of the farmers and the industries from the first principle and able to translate it into a useful and practically viable solution for both of them( specially working on the supply chain issue which is the major concern in solving agricultural problems and solving it through software solution is a proud moment for us. We added good number of useful additional features( forums and chatbot)in the limited time.

What's next for AgriFusion
We have the vision to change how Nepal involves in farming, enable farmers to compete in the market, provide stability for industries about their raw materials need and stable supply chain. We will help increase Nepal's export in agricultural goods and enable organize the clattered market hence consumers also get quality goods to consume( which we are lacking currently and have to consume adulterated foods). We aim to become the one stop solution for Nepal's agricultural opportunities and contribute in increasing national GDP too
