Inspiration

Agri-Connect was inspired by the challenges faced by farmers in selling their products at fair prices. Many farmers depend on middlemen, which reduces their profits and limits direct communication with customers. We wanted to create a digital platform that empowers farmers by connecting them directly with buyers through technology.

What it does

Agri-Connect is an agricultural e-commerce platform where farmers can:

• Register and manage their profiles
• Upload and sell agricultural products
• Track orders and manage inventory
• Connect directly with customers

Customers can:

• Browse fresh farm products
• Add products to cart
• Place secure orders online
• Support local farmers directly

How we built it

We built Agri-Connect using modern web technologies:

• Frontend: React.js, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Backend: Node.js and Express.js
• Database: SQL / Firebase for data storage
• Authentication: Secure login and signup system
• UI/UX: Responsive design with animations and farmer-friendly colors

We focused on creating a clean, user-friendly interface that works smoothly across devices.

Challenges we faced

One of the biggest challenges was designing a platform that is simple for farmers to use while still providing advanced e-commerce features. We also faced challenges in:
