Inspiration
We were in a robotics course, and we were told to think of a project using robots to help with the world's current problems. So we thought of this idea
What it does
It is a solar-powered robot that helps address desertification and utilize empty arid areas. It searches for pests to stop them early on, digs soil, plants seeds, waters plants using smart methods, addresses climate change in the surrounding environment, and gathers crops.
How we built it
We made the 3D design using Google SketchUp and made the circuit and simulation using Tinkercad.
Challenges we ran into
Balancing the weight of the robot to get a practical center of mass, and making the H-bridge circuit
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Successfully made a practical and realistic 3D design of the robot and identified the needed resources for the project.
What we learned
Using Google SketchUp effectively, making electrical circuits, and using electrical components like relays and motors
What's next for Agri-Bot
Making a PCB using KiCad, testing, assembling, and improving the robot.
