So me and my senior, Shradhan, were casually talking when I discussed about this Devpost website and the hackathons that go on here. I told him about the ongoing hackathon by Agora. He's a front end developer, class of 2018 and I'm a Computer Science senior, both being fairly new to MEAN stack. Having coded in C++/Python and LAMP all along the years, we took this as an opportunity to learn MEAN. We started out with React.js and Node.js as backend. He had some experience with React. So I started to work on Node.js and he took up the front end. We had a week with us. I really got to learn a lot of things through this project! We were stuck on enabling captcha on the login screen as we were not able to get CORS (Cross Origin Resource Sharing) requests while sending the POST request to Google APIs. We actually had one other repository named agora-hackathon where we did all our work (you can fairly observe that by seeing our commits in that branch). At last, somehow we managed to deploy our app, though there's a lot of room for improvement, but due to time constraints (its only 17 minutes to submission right now!), we couldn't engage all of the things in our app. Anyway, this was one of the best code sprints we both had in recent times and we got to learn a lot about MEAN. And I must say, Agora's RTC latency is really low as compared to other providers in the market out there.
