Video games have the unique ability to immerse the player into the role of the character. We wanted to make the players experience the thrill of giving food to the less fortunate in the hopes of sparking real world actions later.
What it does
Aggressive Charity puts the player in a virtual food truck to simulate giving out food to people.
How we built it
We used the Unity engine with the Steam VR sdk. We developed in c# and found most assets through the asset store.
Challenges we ran into
The time constraint was challenging. Textures had a weird flickering bug while moving. However the biggest challenge was actually working on the project and not just playing it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
It's playable and pretty fun.
What we learned
Time management. Work allocation. How to work within a virtual work space.
What's next for Aggressive Charity
2 Charity 2 Furious. But in honesty we will probably just refine the spawning algorithms and add more levels.
