Inspiration

This app is inspired from the difficulty of applying and keeping track of opportunities along with integrating scheduling for busy college life making this a great app for planning and growing professionally.

What it does

The app serves as a hub for research and internship opportunities along with campus events so that user can plan their days and make sure to utilize college as much as possible. The events opportunities shown are also naturally influence by details put into the profile making the app a more user tuned experience and saving users time filtering through the thousands of events and programs at A&M.

Challenges we ran into

Navigating Figma took some troubleshooting, and it was hard to bring our ideas to vision on the software. However through some research and video tutorials we were able to navigate our way through the software to effectively showcase our idea.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of the design of the app in a way that utilizes color for functionality and ease of understanding while also keeping an A&M theme and color scheme. The functionality of the design is also impressive. We linked the app to other websites and incorporated the general A&M sign in into the design so users don't need a different log in.

What we learned

We learned the importance of user-centered design, talking through pain points and ideating around what would actually make students’ lives easier. We also improved our design thinking, wire-framing, and prototyping skills, and gained valuable experience collaborating under pressure.

What's next for AggieLaunch

We’re excited to continue working on AggieLaunch beyond the Ideathon. Next steps include user feedback on the prototype, refining the features, and beginning development. Our goal is to turn this idea into a fully functioning app that can truly help students make the most of their college experience.
