Inspiration
Duolingo pointing system and gamified learning experience
What it does
Every player gets recruited as a field agent and works through a mission path of cybersecurity scenarios — phishing emails, sketchy links, password habits, social-engineering calls — answering multiple-choice, true/false, and step-ordering questions. Correct calls earn XP and keep your streak alive; missed ones cost a heart. A fresh 5-question briefing drops every UTC day, shared identically by every agent, so there's always a reason to check back tomorrow.
How we built it
By using the Devvit Phaser Starter Template with AI-assisted coding (REPLIT + Devvit MCP) to quickly scaffold gameplay in Phaser, then wiring in Reddit's native social layer — comments, votes, and user profiles — so players can compete and interact without leaving the game. Reddit's live dev server and free hosting make it easy to build, deploy, and iterate fast.
Challenges we ran into
Rendering phaser graphics
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- Bringing a gamified way of learning cybersecurity to the world ## What we learned I learned how to render phaser locally on my laptop with less issues than most ## What's next for Agents of Astartis Prime
- Just more updates of various cyber security concepts and me updating more to remove bugs if users report any, to keep people educated
