Inspiration

We were inspired by the growing demand for real-time, efficient AI applications at the edge. NVIDIA Jetson's advanced capabilities and DLI courses provide the perfect platform to bring Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to life. The combination promises to elevate the potential for intelligent automation in robotics, IoT, and other AI-driven fields. By the Y Combinator, and HOL is the Agentic RAG in Jetson itself, Thor Nano brings 800+ TFlops of edge computing.

What it does

Agentic RAG leverages NVIDIA Jetson to deploy retrieval-augmented AI models that perform faster, smarter, and more contextual learning on edge devices. By utilizing DLI course materials, it enhances the Jetson ecosystem's ability to run advanced machine learning tasks with low latency and high efficiency in real-time environments.

How we built it

We integrated NVIDIA Jetson hardware with RAG models using DLI course workflows. The system combines Jetson's GPU acceleration and edge computing capabilities with RAG's dynamic, knowledge-enhanced responses. We used Jetson's deep learning libraries and trained models using data pipelines focused on edge efficiency and real-time feedback loops. Usability of Nvidias Workspace was tested at edge, proving usability of gaming GPGPU, and Jetson Nano hardware, Orin and Thor in deep learning.

Challenges we ran into

One of the main challenges was optimizing RAG models for resource-constrained environments while maintaining response accuracy. Ensuring smooth integration between NVIDIA's hardware and the complex RAG architecture without overwhelming memory or processing power was also a significant hurdle.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully implemented a high-performance RAG model optimized for Jetson hardware. Our model provides real-time responses in dynamic scenarios, such as robotics and autonomous systems. We're also proud of creating a seamless learning experience that bridges DLI coursework with real-world applications.

What we learned

We deepened our understanding of hardware optimization for AI on edge devices, particularly with NVIDIA Jetson. Balancing model accuracy, speed, and resource consumption was key. Additionally, we gained insights into fine-tuning RAG models for low-latency environments without compromising on output quality.

What's next for Agentic RAG for Nvidia DLI

Our next step is to scale the Agentic RAG platform, incorporating more advanced Jetson models and extending its application across diverse fields like healthcare, autonomous vehicles, and industrial IoT. We also plan to further integrate NVIDIA's DLI courses for continuous skill-building and advancements in edge AI deployment.
