What it does
Find me the best laptop for programming under NPR 130,000. I care about performance and battery life
How we built it
The frontend provides a familiar shopping interface, while key website capabilities are exposed as structured WebMCP tools.
Some of our core tools include:
search_products() get_product_details() compare_products() get_price_history() find_price_drops() create_watchlist()
Challenges we ran into
ackend fails with could not connect to server → PostgreSQL isn't running. Start it, or use docker compose up db.
ModuleNotFoundError on backend start → Run uv sync inside Backend/ first.
Frontend shows "Search error — is the backend running?" → The backend isn't reachable. Check that uvicorn is running on port 8000.
Login succeeds but dashboard shows "Failed to load tracked products" → Check the browser console for a CORS error. Confirm FRONTEND_URL=http://localhost:5173 in Backend/.env and restart the backend.
