Inspiration

Agenta began as a seed of an idea I planned to revisit only after I had "enough" technical skills. However, when the GDM Hackathon came around, I realized I didn't need to wait. The inspiration wasn't a single event, but a realization: businesses need specialized AI talent, and that talent can now be "hired" as autonomous agents. I decided to stop waiting for my skills to catch up and instead used the very technology I was building for to bring the project to life.

What it does

Agenta is a marketplace platform that allows businesses and individuals to "hire" specialized AI systems. Think of it as the Upwork for AI agents. Users come to the platform to find an agent capable of a specific task, "hire" it, and let the system handle the workload. It bridges the gap between complex AI capabilities and practical business needs.

How we built it

The project is a testament to the power of AI-assisted development. I utilized Google AI Studio and Gemini as my primary collaborators.

Prompt-Driven Development: I started by feeding the core concept and desired frameworks into Gemini.

Iterative Design: Using Google AI Studio, I iterated on the codebase, refining the logic and structure through constant feedback loops.

AI-First Execution: Even without deep-diving into every line of code myself, I was able to direct the AI to build out the features and frameworks necessary to make the platform functional.

Challenges we ran into

The biggest hurdle wasn't technical—it was imposter syndrome and doubt. I struggled with the internal question of whether I could actually build a complete project using AI Studio. Overcoming the mental barrier of "Am I really doing this?" was the true challenge. Once I pushed past the doubt and leaned into the tools, I realized that the technical walls I once feared had been completely dismantled.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Vision Clarity: Seeing the idea move from a vague concept to a functioning reality through prompting actually made the vision for Agenta clearer than it had ever been.

Lifting the Barrier: I successfully bypassed the traditional technical "wall." I’ve learned that in this new age, the barrier to entry for building complex software has been lifted, and I'm proud to have proven that by building Agenta.

What's next for Agenta - Agentic AI Marketplace

This is only the beginning. Regardless of the hackathon results, I am committed to pushing the vision for Agenta forward. The goal is to continue refining the "hiring" ecosystem and expanding the variety of agents available, turning Agenta into the go-to hub for the autonomous workforce
