Inspiration

I have background in physics research and there are a lot of automation could be done that would improve lives of scientists.

What it does

Agent Postdoc aims to be an indispensable AI partner for researchers, designed to provide support across the entire scientific workflow—from the spark of an idea to the final publication. By integrating a powerful multi-agent system, powered by Google's Gemini and the Exa API, this tool seeks to streamline complex tasks, uncover new insights, and accelerate the pace of discovery.

How we built it

The application is structured to follow the iterative nature of the scientific method. The core pipeline for the initial research and validation phase is fully operational. You can launch a process from an "Observation" or a "Research Question" to have AI agents automatically:

1. Deconstruct your idea to define its scope and generate targeted keywords
2. Find and retrieve relevant academic papers using the Exa API
3. Analyze the literature to provide a critical evaluation, score your idea's potential, and suggest iterative improvements.

Challenges we ran into

Science is hard and solve it over the weekend is hard even with such powerful tools like Gemini and Exa.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Actually seems useful and with a lot of potential to save hours of tedious research that could be outsourced to AI Agent
