Inspiration
Being a young developer, it’s easy to feel like the world of entrepreneurship is locked behind closed doors, limited by age, lack of resources, and no real network to lean on. I’ve always wanted to build something meaningful, something that makes a real difference. But between finding the right idea and not knowing where to start, it felt like I was always on the outside looking in.
Then I saw this challenge come up. No barriers. No gatekeepers. Just an opportunity. I thought to myself: Why not try? What’s the worst that could happen? So I jumped in, not because I had all the answers, but because I wanted to prove to myself that I could take an idea and turn it into something real.
One thing that has fascinated me the most is AI. AI Agents in particular. After doing some research, the market value for AI agents is around $5.29 billion at the time of writing this, with an expected growth to $216.8 billion by 2035. Businesses and consumers need a place to find these agents, or at least get in touch with their creators. Thats where I came up with Agent Market. It's the only software where creators can monitize their AI agent creations while connecting to businesses. It's pretty much amazon but with AI agents. I've been sitting on this idea for a few months and then I saw this come up. Winning one of the prizes could not only get me exposure to investors, but also funding to grow the project into something bigger and better. I really do believe that an AI agent marketplace could be the next big software and I hope you all see it too.
What I Learned
Through this project, I realized how much can be done with just vision, effort, and a willingness to learn. I learned how to break big problems into small actions, how to design around real user needs, and how to keep pushing through moments of doubt. It wasn’t just about building software, it was about building belief in myself.
How I Built It
With limited tools and zero funding, I started with what I knew, basic web development and AI. I created a simple but functional MVP that allows creators to upload AI agents and businesses to browse and subscribe to them. I focused on clarity, simplicity, and making every step feel smooth. Every page, every button, every line of code was a step forward in proving I could bring this vision to life.
Challenges I Faced
The hardest part wasn’t the tech, it was the mindset. Fighting off thoughts like “No one’s going to care” or “You’re too young for this.” Without a network, mentors, or real-world support, I had to figure things out on my own. But that’s what made this meaningful. It taught me to trust the process, take initiative, and keep going even when no one’s watching.
What’s Next for Agent Market
1. Refine and Expand the MVP
- Polish the user interface for smoother navigation and mobile responsiveness
- Add enhanced filtering and search tools so users can quickly find the right agents
- Improve onboarding flows for both creators and users to increase conversion
- Integrate analytics dashboards for creators to track earnings, usage, and feedback
- Enhance demo and trial experiences to drive user trust and purchases
2. Onboard High-Quality Creators
We’ll focus on bringing in the first wave of AI builders who can showcase what’s possible on Agent Market.
How we’ll do it:
- Launch a “Founding Creator” campaign offering 0% take rate for early contributors
- Reach out directly to creators on Twitter, Reddit (r/GPTBuilders, r/AI), YouTube, and Discords (AgentOps, Langchain, Flowise)
- Run content spotlights and interviews on social media: “Meet the Creator”
- Offer monetization coaching and featured placement to help them succeed
- Build a waitlist with invite-only access to generate exclusivity and buzz
3. Drive Early Demand
- Partner with micro-influencers in tech, AI, and solopreneur spaces
- Create short demo videos and tutorials highlighting live agent use-cases
- Launch on Product Hunt and share on IndieHackers to gain visibility
- Offer early users free credits or lifetime discounts to encourage adoption and feedback
4. Build for Scale
- Collect usage data and feedback to inform the next iteration of features
- Begin planning scalable backend architecture (if current MVP was built quickly)
- Start preparing for Stripe Connect or alternative payouts for global creators
- Lay groundwork for moderation tools, agent verification, and security
