Inspiration

I had this idea for a widget that tells me exactly how many days I've lived, my exact age with decimals and gamifies my life. Some people keep track of their half birthdays, why not keep track of every tenth or hundredth point of your birthday? That's what agemaxx does. But my monitoring this, you create a sense of urgency that time is slipping away, and you must pursue your passion and purpose.

What it does

Agemaxx is a widget that tells you how old you are, what percetnage of life you've lived, what day your next birthday is without looking at the calendar so you can plan your birthday week or weekend, and a lot of other cool insights.

How we built it

native swift, claude code, figma, and whiteboards.

Challenges we ran into

Getting the design to feel Apple native and to feel right. The metadata and the insights should be actual markers that we choose for the user, and not overload them with random facts. Keeping a very Apple like design thinking in mind. Thinking about the right price for the app - a one time purchase just felt right.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We released it on the appstore with a revenuecat hard paywall, and it intuitvely works, got 8 customers who paid so far just from friends and family.

What we learned

How to get hard paywalls in your app and how to design keeping the user in mind.

What's next for Agemaxx

Distribution and more revenue. Poeple have expressed interest in getting notifications that compare their point in life to that of a person they look up to. Image if you woke up one morning and you get a notification from agemaxx saying "You are 21.28 years old. At this age, Tiger Woods won the Golf Masters Tournament". You could then see where you are in life against all of Tiger Woods' key life milestones. That would be pretty darn cool.
