Inspiration

I had been working on a set of tools (using codeblocks) to share with the HW community with an emphasis on high quality audio feedback and reusability; however, the switch to Typescript slowed that down. This competition inspired me to get off my butt to make the AG Toolkit a reality.

What it does

The AG Toolkit is a set of scripted tools that are remix-able far beyond their basic proposed implementation and include detailed setup instructions, usage examples, and high quality custom SFX.

How we built it

3D meshes are made with Gen AI (Mesh), All scripting is written in Typescript with some JSON usage, Sound Design, SFX, and Voiceovers are created by Audio.Guy

Challenges we ran into

Learning Typescript with a pending deadline. On some level I have cut my teeth on Typescript because of this competition and, WOW, have I come a long way already.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Learning Typescript to a level that I now have all the confidence I need to approach new projects; especially games as I am very new to game development.

What we learned

Typescript, How to package shared assets for reuse with the utmost consideration for the varied experience levels of the users, and this being my first solo competition; how to manage a devpost hackathon.

What's next for AG Toolkit 1.0 (AGtk)

Observing how users respond to the toolkit and collecting feedback to improve AGtk 1.0 and later implement best practices learned into AGtk 2.0 and counting that sweet-sweet prize money. ;-)
