Structural destabilization caused by post-earthquake aftershocks poses a severe threat to search-and-rescue teams and re-entering civilians. AFTERSHOCK is a dual-tier structural monitoring and disaster management system that bridges localized embedded sensing with macro-level spatial risk modeling. At the edge, an Arduino UNO platform equipped with dual Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs) captures structural dynamic response, classifies vibration severity in real time, and delivers instant multi-modal warnings via an onboard LCD, RGB status LED, and audible alarm. Concurrently, ground-motion telemetry is evaluated using a trained Random Forest classifier mapped across a simulated urban grid of College Station, Texas. The pipeline dynamically maps high-risk structural zones and automates virtual municipal safety protocols. By fusing real-time structural health monitoring with predictive spatial analytics, AFTERSHOCK enables data-driven triage and improves responder safety during critical recovery phases.
