🌟 Inspiration Nigeria’s e-commerce landscape is growing rapidly, but many local vendors struggle with visibility, logistics, and trust. We wanted to create a platform that empowers small businesses, artisans, and entrepreneurs by giving them a digital storefront that’s easy to manage, secure, and scalable. Afryvo was born out of a desire to localize the marketplace experience and make it truly inclusive.
⚙️ What it does Afryvo is a multi-vendor marketplace that allows sellers to register, create shops, and list products seamlessly. Buyers can browse categories, view product details, and make purchases using secure payment gateways. The platform also includes:
Vendor dashboards for analytics and order tracking
Product reviews and ratings
Integrated logistics support
Admin tools for managing users, disputes, and promotions
🛠️ How we built it Afryvo was built using:
Frontend: React.js with Tailwind CSS for a responsive and modern UI
Backend: Node.js with Express and MongoDB for scalable data handling
Authentication: JWT and bcrypt for secure user sessions
Payments: Integration with Paystack for local transactions
Deployment: Vercel and Render for hosting frontend and backend services
