The inspiration for aFINity came from the challenges that busy individuals face in managing their finances. The need to access financial data from multiple systems and dashboards was tedious and time-consuming. The idea was to create a user-centric and institutional-grade financial service that would streamline the process and provide personalized insights and real-time analysis to users.
What it does
aFINity is a sophisticated personal finance management solution that integrates a digital assistant into a centralized location using natural dialogue. It provides users with an all-encompassing suite of financial services, including an AI chatbot that provides personalized insights on stocks and market trends, a virtual wallet that is tailored to the user's spending habits, and real-time analysis of their financial portfolio.
How we built it
aFINity was built using cutting-edge technology and a user-centric design approach. The team worked on creating a minimalist website that provides a fresh and up-to-date experience to users. The website includes useful widgets that show stock information, spending habits, and advanced graphics that combine all these interests into a 3D contour graph. These widgets can be edited to the user's demand as they are designed to be modular. The digital assistant was created using natural language processing and AI technology. The system consists of many technical aspects. We scrape 10-k forms and twitter tweets to note down user and government sentiment towards a company and how it affects their stock price. We have an conversational ai bot built-in which has access to all the user's information and can answer user's questions based on their finances. The user information, their transaction history and payment methods is shared between the user and the banks that can then be used to analyze their spending habits. The whole service is hosted on node.js on a server and people can access it as long as they are connected to Illinois-Net.
