Inspiration
To make apps simple and easy to use (intended for adults who want to use an app and need simple steps to facilitate their work)
What it does
A react native mobile app for weekly sales report with a few steps (open the app, enter sales, preview the auto-generated sale table, and send the report through email directly from the app)
How we built it
Use react native for front-end development, xlsx.js for importing and exporting excel files, build ios mobile app on window using expo
Challenges we ran into
styling the excel file (the current xlsx framework does not support text alignment in cells; need to find another lightweight framework to do the work)
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- the app is working as intended
- first time to create a mobile app using react native ## What we learned
- learned react and react native components to develop an ios app without xcode
- handled and validated inputs with react-hook-form (very lightweight react framework for creating and validating form)
- improved my javascript knowledge ## What's next for AFC Sale Report App
- add styles to each page
- implement report history
- find a way to fix text alignment in xlsx
Built With
- expo.io
- javascript
- react
- react-hook-form
- react-native
- xlsx
