Inspiration

In an era where degrees are becoming standard but direction is becoming rare, many students suffer from "Future Anxiety." We realized that traditional career tests are outdated and study tips are often generic. We were inspired to build Aevia—a bridge between academic struggle and real-world value. Our goal was to create a Future Intelligence Engine that doesn't just tell you what to learn, but explains why your specific cognitive style is built to win in an AI-powered world.

What it does

Aevia is an end-to-end alignment platform that decodes a student's identity into a high-ROI career trajectory:

  • Cognitive Identity Decoder: Utilizing Gemini 3 Pro with a high thinking budget, we analyze behavioral patterns to identify one of 16 futuristic archetypes.
  • High-Stakes Simulations: Mission-based scenarios (e.g., Crisis Management, System Architecture) where students practice decision-making and receive real-time AI evaluations.
  • Skill Alchemist: A translation engine that converts abstract subjects (like "History") or hobbies (like "Gaming") into marketable, professional skills.
  • The Oracle: A career forecasting tool that calculates your Personalized Stability Index and identifies specific automation risks for your chosen path.

How we built it

  • Frontend: Built with React and Tailwind CSS, utilizing a custom "Silk-Glass" design language for a futuristic, high-clarity user experience.
  • Intelligence Layer:
    • Gemini 3 Pro (Thinking Model): Powers our deep psychological analysis to ensure archetypes are accurate and insightful.
    • Gemini 3 Flash: Handles real-time mission feedback and low-latency "Alchemist" conversions.
  • Structured Output: We implemented rigorous JSON schema validation to ensure the AI's complex reasoning integrates perfectly with our visual dashboards.

Challenges we ran into

The primary challenge was overcoming "Generic Advice Fatigue." Most AI mentors provide safe, broad answers. To solve this, we used Gemini's Thinking Budget to force the model to look for "pivot points" in user data, providing "Killer Insights" that are specific, actionable, and sometimes challenging to the user’s assumptions.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We successfully merged psychological depth with a high-end UI. We are particularly proud of the Simulation Evaluation system, which can judge not just if a user solved a problem, but the logic they used to do it, mapping it back to their core strengths.

What we learned

We learned that students don't need more information; they need alignment. AI is at its most powerful when it acts as a mirror, reflecting a student's hidden potential. Technical architecture is only as good as the human clarity it provides.

What's next for Aevia

The next phase for Aevia is MindBridge—integrating the Gemini Live API to provide real-time voice coaching during simulations. We also plan to launch Impact Circles, where students of complementary archetypes are automatically matched to collaborate on real-world community projects.
