Inspiration

Debugging and maintaining software can be time-consuming, especially when developers work with large codebases and need to switch between different tools. We wanted to make this process simpler by bringing code analysis, technical research, and testing together.

What it does

AETHER CODE is an AI-powered software engineering assistant that analyses code repositories, identifies potential bugs, research technical solutions, suggests code patches, and supports test execution. It aims to make code improvement more transparent by connecting findings with supporting evidence.

How we built it

We built the application using React, TypeScript, and Fast API. The backend includes an AI integration structure designed for NVIDIA Nemotron models through Nebius, while Tavily provides web research capabilities. The interface provides a workspace for repository uploads, findings, patch previews, and test results.

Challenges and learning

One of our biggest challenges was connecting multiple engineering workflows into a single application. We learned how to structure backend services, integrate external APIs, manage repository files, and design a developer-focused interface.

Future scope

We aim to improve model integration, strengthen automated testing, expand security analysis, and make AETHER CODE a more reliable assistant for everyday software development.
