Aether (AI personal manager)

Inspiration

The idea for Aether came from a simple frustration: even with all the productivity apps available today, people still waste time switching between apps, repeating manual tasks, searching for information, and managing chaos. I wanted something that doesn’t just assist—I wanted something that manages.

An AI that behaves like a personal CEO, not just a chatbot. Something that organizes life automatically, predicts needs, and builds systems without manual work. That vision became Aether — An AI Personal Manager.

What it does

Aether is a fully automated personal management system powered by AI. It handles:

Productivity

Tasks & scheduling

Knowledge organization

Automation

Multi-modal inputs

Smart workflows

Internal Notion-like workspace (created inside the app itself)

How we built it

I built Aether inside Base44, using:

AI actions for automation

Custom logic blocks for workflow execution

In-app database structures to replicate a Notion-level workspace

UI components for smooth, intuitive navigation

Voice + text inputs for multi-modal interaction

App memory to provide continuous context and personalized actions

Every feature is integrated directly inside the app, without relying on external apps like Notion.

Challenges we ran into

Designing a Notion-scale system inside a single app

Building automated database creation using only AI workflows

Making the AI understand context across pages, tasks, and user goals

Creating a personalized manager that feels proactive, not reactive

Maintaining clean UI while offering deep productivity features

These challenges pushed me to think like a system architect — not just a developer.

What we learned

I learned how powerful AI can be when combined with structured workflows. I also learned how to design a system that adapts to users, predicts patterns, and manages complex tasks — not just answer questions.

Most importantly, I learned how to think like a hackathon problem-solver: build fast, iterate smart, and deliver high impact.
