AeroShare – Smart Airport Ride-Sharing Platform

AeroShare was inspired by the idea of helping airport passengers travelling in the same direction share cabs, reduce expenses, and avoid unnecessary travel costs

What it does

AeroShare matches airport passengers by destination, arrival time, and luggage capacity to arrange shared cabs, split fares, and adjust rides during flight delays.

How we built it

AeroShare is built using a web/mobile platform, GPS mapping, flight-status APIs, and smart matching algorithms to group passengers, calculate shared fares, and manage ride bookings.

Challenges we ran into

Matching passengers with similar routes and arrival times, handling unexpected flight delays, ensuring fair fare splitting, and managing luggage and vehicle capacity.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We developed a practical solution for airport ride-sharing that combines smart passenger matching, flight-delay handling, luggage-based vehicle selection, and fair fare splitting to make travel more affordable and convenient.

What we learned

We learned how to solve real-world transportation problems using smart matching, route optimization, dynamic scheduling, and cost-sharing while keeping passenger convenience in mind.
