Inspiration

Providing food equity by providing healthier food to our urban cities and underserved communities to help address community health care needs. Using AI to enhance human intelligence and promote social equity and environmental sustainability.

What it does

Helps aeroponic growers manage their operations using the help of AI with daily tasks and training. Assist urban farmers in figuring out the appropriate seeds and the best products to grow to get the maximum yield.

How we built it

Created an aeroponics lab within the Detroit Mercy Center for Augmenting Intelligence in Urban Health and created an AI chatbot to assist with operations.

Challenges we ran into

How to best pass knowledge to inexperienced growers using AI and develop the correct prompts to help with training materials.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Our aeroponics lab has successfully been growing vegetables using 90% less water and no soil.

What we learned

Through trial and error, we have figured out the best way to grow and maintain vegetables within our lab and hope to be able to use AI to transfer that knowledge to the community.

What's next for Aeroponics AI Assistant

We have been exploring and purchasing equipment and developing a model and training courses on how to become an aeroponics entrepreneur and have this equipment in your home, basement, garage or warehouse and literally grow your food and make a living from it.
