Inspiration
A lot of travelers, especially first-time flyers and senior citizens face a lot of trouble inside airports in navigation.
What it does
AeroPal aims at providing well-routed maps to users based on his/her flight details and the airport, to help users have a smooth transitioning experience inside airports.
How we built it
As this application is in its very beginning stage, we have used basic Web-Technologies ie. HTML, CSS for front-end and PHP and MySQL for server-side/backend. We plan to better this application by using advanced tech stacks in near future.
Challenges we ran into
Creating the server-side logic was a challenge for us as we are new to backend development using PHP, however, we managed to pull it off.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
The successful deployment of the application is a big accomplishment for us, we are proud that the app is up and running.
What we learned
We learned a lot, while developing this application, starting from front-end implementation of the idea to creating the backend logic as well as deploying it to the web.
What's next for AeroPal
We plan to make the application responsive and user-friendly. We also intend to add multiple new features like more detailed maps using dynamic routing. A mobile application could also be developed, to make it more accessible, speedy, compatible, and customizable. Moreover, advanced tech stacks like MERN could be used to make it even faster and scalable.
