Inspiration and the Problem
The problem arose when we had a discussion on the issues soldiers defending a nation faced. And one of them happened to be the failure in deploying a bomb to protect their nation. We felt that the one main issue the soldiers face is not being able to attack the enemy at inaccessible regions.
The Solution
The solution we have come up with is Aeris Bombe. A GPS-tracked explosive that has an in-built GPS system that explodes upon the coordinates it reaches. The coordinates are input via a program with an Arduino connected to GPS which then gives the output in the serial window.
How we built it
We have used the software, SolidWorks to create a model of the grenade system which mainly includes the grenade and the tracking device.
Challenges we ran into
The challenges we have faced
- creating a well-structured model of the system
- understanding the working principle of the model
What we learned
We have learned that with the help of a programming language and a few integrated chips, we can change the way and the methods of attack and defense in a nation, or bring in any change for that matter.
