💡 Inspiration & The Problem

In today's hyper-connected digital age, modern users—especially students and digital natives—face a dual psychological and technological crisis:

1. Digital Fatigue & Outrage Culture: Social media algorithms are engineered to feed users endless streams of perfection, toxic comparisons, and negative news. This triggers severe anxiety, low self-worth, and constant "doomscrolling."
2. Ubiquitous Cyber Threats: Online scams, phishing links, and deceptive social media messages are growing increasingly sophisticated, targeting unsuspecting users to steal personal data and accounts.

Users are left vulnerable to both internal mental exhaustion and external cyber attacks, with no single, unified tool designed to address both physical-mind wellness and digital security.

🛡️ What is AegisWeb?

AegisWeb is an autonomous dual-agent AI web application built as an all-in-one digital guardian. It combines psychological wellbeing with real-time cybersecurity intelligence to protect digital citizens.

AegisWeb operates through two powerful core modules:

• Module 1: Social Detox & Mind Reframer
  • What it does: Users can paste toxic, depressing, or anxiety-inducing social media posts or thoughts.
  • How it helps: The AI cognitive agent breaks down mental distortions (such as catastrophizing and comparison bias) and reframes them into grounded, healthy perspectives while issuing a personalized actionable digital wellness roadmap.
• Module 2: Social Media Phishing & Link Shield
  • What it does: Users can test suspicious URLs, messages, or login links they encounter on social platforms.
  • How it helps: The AI security agent instantly scans, detects, and exposes scam vectors, malicious intent, and phishing indicators in real-time.

🛠️ How We Built It

• Frontend Architecture: Built using a high-performance, single-file HTML/JavaScript architecture featuring a modern cyberpunk dark glassmorphism UI styled with Tailwind CSS, glowing neon accents, and smooth responsive feedback loops.
• AI Core Integration: Integrated directly with the Google Gemini API to drive real-time cognitive reframing, emotional de-escalation, and deep threat analysis.
• Deployment & Accessibility: Fully deployed via GitHub Pages, providing instant cross-platform global access straight from any modern browser.

🚀 Challenges We Ran Into & Accomplishments

• Balancing UI & Speed: Designing a dual-agent interface that delivers complex psychological analysis and security audits in seconds required careful prompt engineering and clean state management.
• Creating an Integrated Solution: Successfully merging "Digital Wellness" (mental health) with "Cyber Shield" (security) into a seamless, unified cyberpunk workspace.

• Expanding the AI agents to support multi-language real-time analysis (including local contexts).
• Integrating browser extension capabilities to automatically flag malicious links and toxic feeds while browsing.
