Decision-makers are forced to act under pressure while navigating fragmented, redundant, and often unreliable signals.

Aegis-Fusion is an Autonomous Disaster Intelligence & Tactical Operating System that:

  • 🔄 Fuses redundant signals into unified “Incidents” using semantic AI
  • ✅ Cross-verifies social media claims against IoT sensor data
  • 🛡 Automatically redacts sensitive PII using a Privacy Shield layer
  • 🔐 Logs every decision in an immutable, cryptographic ledger
  • 🧑‍🚒 Provides specialized interfaces for Admins, Field Workers, and Citizens

Instead of raw, noisy data, command centers receive structured, verified, and explainable intelligence.

How we built it

We built Aegis-Fusion using a modern AI-first architecture:

Frontend

  • React 19 with TypeScript
  • React Router for structured navigation
  • Tailwind CSS + Shadcn/UI for tactical interface design
  • Framer Motion for smooth, mission-critical transitions

Intelligence Layer

  • Google Gemini 1.5 Pro for:
    • Semantic deduplication
    • Truth verification
    • Explainable AI (XAI)
    • Context-aware reasoning

Mapping & Visualization

  • Leaflet.js for real-time tactical mapping
  • Recharts for live analytics dashboards

State Management

  • React Context API (TacticalProvider) to maintain a unified “Ground Truth”

Integrity & Audit

  • A blockchain-inspired immutable ledger that hashes every state change

We structured the system into modular layers: ingestion, AI processing, tactical state, and integrity logging — ensuring scalability and clarity.

Challenges we ran into

1. Semantic Deduplication

Designing AI prompts that merge related reports without incorrectly grouping unrelated incidents required iterative tuning and testing.

2. Trust Verification

Balancing false positives and false negatives while cross-validating signals was complex. We had to carefully design reasoning flows.

3. Privacy Redaction

Automatically removing PII while preserving meaningful context was technically and ethically challenging.

4. Real-Time Tactical State

Keeping multiple user roles synchronized with consistent global updates required careful state architecture.
