Within a week we managed to marry some useful tools for AECO with the OpenAI 's #Codex model. We loaded the model's metadata into a database and added time series information to simulate sensors, and through an audio interface, we harnessed the power of Codex to translate natural language queries into complex SQL queries and Forge API calls. This allowed us to ask the model things like:

which walls of the model exceeded a specific dimension and that filtered those elements in the model, or the average temperature in a room in the autumn of the previous year.

BUT WHAT'S BEHIND CREATING VOICE USER INTERFACES TO INTERACT WITH THE DIGITAL TWIN?

This technology opens the door to a wide range of possible future applications in terms of access to information.

While we focus this hackathon on getting insights from the model, future applications can go much further and change the way information is managed in BIM projects.
