Inspiration

Our inspiration came from conversations with the NGO, where we learned about their current process for handling petition requests. Understanding their challenges and needs drove us to design a tool that could simplify and enhance their workflow, making tenant support more efficient and accessible.

What it does

LegallyWronged supports attorneys handling tenant petitions by providing data-driven insights, including likely outcomes, legal arguments, and relevant precedents. The tool organizes potential case strategies, helping tenants advocate for fair, habitable housing.

How we built it

We used data analytics, natural language processing, and a user-friendly UI to build the tool. By analyzing historical case data, LegallyWronged transforms unstructured data into actionable insights, making it accessible and practical for attorneys.

Challenges we ran into

We spent significant time determining and prioritizing the most important information we wanted LegallyWronged to generate, ensuring it would be relevant and actionable for tenant petitions. On the technical side, we faced challenges in guiding the AI to consistently generate the precise results we needed, requiring careful design and tuning to meet our goals.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud to have created a functional product through close collaboration, all within a short timeframe. LegallyWronged represents a streamlined, accessible tool that makes complex legal support simpler and more impactful for tenants.

What's next for LegallyWronged
