Inspiration

Difficult registration process for classes.

What it does

Recommends courses to register for depending on major, courses taken, prerequisites met, etc.

How we built it

With Ruby using Sinatra for the back-end. JavaScript with jQuery on the front-end.

Time constraints.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We've built the skeleton of the app, and have a working algorithm down.

What we learned

Those of us who didn't know Ruby have gotten some glimpse of it. Also, we need better preparation.

What's next for AdviseU

We will build this to completion and utilize web-scraping to read data from cunyFirst to provide more options and details to students such as courses catered to their schedules, etc.
