Advise-Me-Bevo

Inspiration

MyEdu got bought out by Blackboard, and currently a course planner app does not exist for students.

What it does

Gives you currently available courses, professors that teach those courses, and available course times. The app will also let you contact professors and post professor reviews.

How we built it

Built it using AWS, Python, Swift, PostGreSql, Flask

Challenges we ran into

Front-end UI not working, scripting, database issues, making a script to pull all courses from UT course schedule

Accomplishments that we're proud of

we successfully pulled all of the classes from the UT Course Schedule, and designed an a cool UI

What we learned

how to script in python, database management, making API's, designing mobile UI's, sending requests to databases

What's next for Advise-Me-Bevo

adding a social aspect to the app, making more options
