Inspiration

Here's a story that might have motivated the AdventureSphere idea:

As a former secondary school teacher, I used to take my students on field trips to fun sites. One trip that stood out was our visit to a local science museum. The students were intrigued by the interactive exhibits, and I saw their eyes light up as they explored and learned.

However, I soon realized that not all students had the same opportunities. Some couldn't afford to travel, while others had financial issues to pay for trips that made it difficult to participate. I wanted to find a way to bring those experiences to all my students, regardless of their circumstances.

This idea became AdventureSphere – a virtual reality platform that would take students on unforgettable field trips, sparking their curiosity and fostering a deeper understanding of complex concepts. By leveraging VR technology, The AdventureSphere idea was born out of a desire to make learning more inclusive, engaging, and effective.

What it does

It helps students engage in field trips but as virtual reality, to understand history and places taught or even laboratory experiences.

How we built it

It was built with three.js and wolfram api

Challenges we ran into

Time constraints, lack of contributing hands, struggling to ensure compatability with vr headsets

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Developing such an inclusive and educative app in a short while

What we learned

What's next for AdventureSphere

Some potential STEM-specific features for AdventureSphere could include

1.Virtual labs: Conduct experiments and investigations in a simulated environment.

3.Interactive simulations: Engage with interactive models of real-world phenomena, such as physics or chemistry experiments.
