The game we made was in a style of old 8-bit addictive survival shoot em’ ups. This was the best choice for the project as these types of games can be made fast and simply and can keep people entertained for long periods of time as there is always a clear goal that seems within reach.
If the game had more time to be made the main things that would be changed are the shooting to make it more clear and lots of bug fixes to make certain specific setups with items not end up glitching out the game. From there the base concepts will be set and can be used to make any type of level or mechanic we would want for later.
Our game had many issues during development most of which were large glitches requiring hours of bug fixing to clean but one incident led to a large crash in which a new project must have been made and only non-compromised files could be moved into it. This game stands out because it sticks to the very basics and that makes it do its job very well leading to a super addictive experience that one can keep playing attempting to increase the score more and more and although the game itself is not perfect, it does do its job perfectly.
