Inspiration

As most banks are shifting to the online platform, many people find it hard to navigate through the banking website as it has a ton of information. Most people just want to ask a quick question to get their answer. Therefore, we wanted to create a real-life bank teller which would be accessible to everyone by just talking and giving a direct answer in a glimpse. This gives the user the same feel as if they were having a conversation in a real-life bank.

What it does

The users would ask a question to the application and our app would tell them the answer or redirect them to where they need it. This can be helpful as most people have a hard time finding information from the bank's webpage.

How we built it

We use AssemblyAi's voice recognition to collect the inputs of the user through their microphone's at home. The information is then translated to our server using Heroku and then displayed on our webpage on Github.

Challenges we ran into

We have multiple difficulties when constructing the website. From the frontend development to the backend of the website. There was a huge learning curve as most of us were new to the backend documentation. However, we set to achieve the goal of our project.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We were proud to learn how to host the website virtually through Heroku and Github. That was a new thing for us as we all did not know how to do so. And it helped us to show our final application to the world.

What we learned

We learn how to work as a team and communicate our abilities to create the application. We also learned some new skills along the way.

What's next for Advance Banking Helper

We hope to improve the application by training the AI to collect more 'keywords' as well as adding more phrases to the responses of the application. We originally wanted to add a domain name from domain.com however the server was too slow. So we hope to add a custom domain to the site in the future.
