About the Project

AdScribe AI is a creative productivity add-on for Adobe Express that empowers designers, marketers, and small business owners to generate high-converting ad copy effortlessly using AI.

The idea emerged from a recurring frustration: creative blocks and time-consuming copywriting processes during ad campaigns. In fast-paced design and marketing environments, switching between design and copy tools is inefficient — and expensive. We envisioned a world where design and AI-powered text generation live together natively within Adobe Express.

Inspiration

Our inspiration came from watching how many designers struggle to craft the right words for their brilliant designs. Despite having top-notch visuals, campaigns often fail due to underwhelming copy. Meanwhile, tools like ChatGPT and GPT-based platforms were revolutionizing text generation — so we thought:
"Why not bring this power directly into Adobe Express?"

How We Built It

We designed and developed AdScribe AI as a modular and intuitive add-on that integrates seamlessly with Adobe Express. Here's how we structured our build:

• Frontend: Built using React.js for a responsive UI panel that lives inside Adobe Express.
• Backend: Hosted using AWS Lambda, ensuring a scalable and serverless environment for API calls.
• AI Engine: Integrated OpenAI's GPT-4 Turbo to generate context-aware ad copy variations.
• Adobe Express SDK: Enabled native interaction with Express design elements like text boxes.

Users can input keywords or product descriptions, and instantly receive ad copy suggestions tailored to different tones, platforms, or campaigns.

Challenges We Faced

• Ensuring compatibility across various device resolutions and keeping the panel lightweight.
• Aligning AI creativity with real-world marketing effectiveness — making sure the copy isn’t just good, but performant.
