Inspiration
I live in Inglewood, Ca... That is enough said.
What it does
It allows individuals to Collect money by random benefactor watching a Ad on their mobile phone, for every ad they watch # of credits are given to the individual allowing them to convert those credits into cash.
How we built it
Database was written in Postgres, the main backend service is written in node with a stripe integration for payment solutions with one-button clicking payment options for apple pay and google pay.
Simple react frontend, that loads from querystring and displays a Video, Image or Text Advertisement with a duration attached too it. Once the duration is done it utilizes a modal to preform a upsell event which collects either a donation or another ad to watch to help the Individual in question.
Challenges we ran into
React + Stripe = Annoying, everything else was pretty easy. (EDIT) Moved to Paypal... Easier....

This may actually help people.
What we learned
Stripe needs better documentation and examples. (EDIT) Moved over to Paypal cause it was easier to properly handle payment revoke transactions
What's next for Ads 4 Change
If we win, we may try to turn it into a product. Until then it will just be something we will use in our portfolio.
