Inspiration

Insurance professionals spend countless hours reviewing incoming requests, identifying the type of ACORD form or business intent, validating information, and routing it to the appropriate team. This process is repetitive, time-consuming, and prone to delays, especially when emails contain unstructured information or incomplete submissions. We envisioned ADRO ACORD AI as an intelligent orchestration platform that combines UiPath Agentic Automation, BPMN process orchestration, and Human-in-the-Loop validation to automate the intake and processing of ACORD-based insurance workflows. Instead of replacing human expertise, our solution empowers AI agents to understand incoming insurance communications, classify business intent, and seamlessly collaborate with human users whenever confidence is low.

What it does

ADRO ACORD AI is an AI-powered insurance workflow platform that automates the intake, understanding, and processing of ACORD forms and insurance communications using UiPath Agentic Automation. The platform intelligently processes both structured ACORD forms and unstructured insurance emails, enabling insurers and brokers to reduce manual effort while maintaining high accuracy through Human-in-the-Loop validation.

Challenges we ran into

Insurance operations require high accuracy, making it essential to design workflows that allow AI to operate autonomously while ensuring humans remain in control when confidence is low.
We also explored how to integrate Agentic Automation with BPMN orchestration in a way that feels natural for business users. Designing smooth transitions between autonomous agent decisions and human validation required careful workflow modeling.
Another challenge was creating an extensible architecture that can easily support additional insurance use cases beyond email classification.
