Inspiration

With Pega , a platform that is “build for change”, we are here to adapt ourselves to the changing world of virtual working. The youth should be filled with no ambiguities, joining colleges and proceeding with their academics should be life as usual or life that’s even better, a tech savvy life. Hence we built a complete online University application for student’s enrolment using Pega – An application of this size in 12 days, with two developers!

What it does

Enables a University to carry out its admission process all the way from applications from students to admission.

How we built it

We have been closely associated with Universities in Bangalore , India and have seen all the hassles that could come in the way of admissions. One web page for applications , another for checking results , another app to be downloaded for interviews , so on and so forth. We have seen the youth being very annoyed with these multiple apps and new ways of enrolling to a college. We observed , spoke to people and designed a single platform for all these activities and developed the workflow on the easiest platform Pega!

Challenges we ran into

In the given time , we are yet to do the Video call/payment gateway Integration for interviews. We have kept this as our future scope for the solution.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have understood that some universities use as many as 4 applications to meet this process of application to admission. They have taken over a year to stitch a digital solution for this. Now imagine going to a University and telling them that there is one application that can do all of this , and it can be configured for them in a matter of a month! Now that’s the accomplishment.

What we learned

Change is possible and change is QUICK , when done with Pega!

What's next for Admission Lifecycle Management

We aim to stretch this solution to Student Life cycle management , Staff Management , Certifications/Licenses Management , Event Management , Vendor and contract management – all key operations of an Educational Institution.
